Los Angeles Standard Camera Club members took photos around Los Angeles as people followed stay-at-home orders.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

March would have marked the two year anniversary of the Los Angeles Standard Newspaper Camera Club, however, the club has not been able to meet because of the COVID-19 social distancing policies. While club members were unable to meet, that did not stop them from taking photos around town and completing the assignments from the February meeting, which were silhouette photography and rain photography. Club members shared their photos on the camera club’s Facebook page<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

While there were specific assignments, club members did not pass up on the opportunity to capture unique images of Los Angeles while it was devoid of people. Because most people were sheltering in place, high-traffic areas were eerily empty. There were empty freeways during rush hour, empty streets, empty beaches, and empty shopping mall parking lots. The use of black and white in these photos added to the eerie feeling.<\/span><\/p>\n
